One touch of nature makes the whole world kin...

See the map above? Note how the green area -- Point San Pablo Yacht Harbor -- is an island in the middle of Chevron-owned property. Consider also that the Harbor is the planned end-point for the San Francisco Bay Trail spur. The gray, Terminal 4 area is owned by the City of Richmond. If we succeed in preserving the Harbor and making sure that public access continues, the map might look something like this:
"Our most urgent mission as an organization right now is the conservation of the water and land at Point San Pablo Yacht Harbor..."
See that green line leading out to the Harbor? That's shoreline access for everyone, including the Bay Trail for hikers, bicyclers, dog-walkers, access for kayakers and much more. You can see now why we consider the Harbor property the keystone in preserving access to all of Point San Pablo.
The Terminal 4 property (gray) is currently used by a few commercial tenants of the City and is mostly wooded open space -- with no public access. We support the responsible use of the Terminal 4 property, to include recreational opportunities for our citizens.
We are currently working with the City of Richmond and the East Bay Regional Park District to acquire the property and conserve is in perpetuity. We need your help!
Our mission includes not only preserving open space and shoreline access, but working proactively to bring people to nature -- to the healing and calming power of unspoiled areas...
Comprised of roughly 15 acres of water and 15 acres of wooded uplands, the Harbor is just minutes from downtown Richmond. It's a magical place with spectacular, one-of-a-kind views of San Pablo Bay and places beyond.
